Rascals Brewery Tour

Our brewery tour experience is led by a tour guide who has worked at the two top attractions in Ireland: the Guinness Storehouse and Kilmainham Gaol. The first part of the tour is the story of Rascals Brewing Company. Visitors will be told how the founders – a husband and wife team – took inspiration from the craft beer scene in New Zealand and decided to give up their day jobs and pursue a dream of setting up a Dublin brewery. Visitors are then brought through the brewery floor to a mezzanine where the tour of the brewing facilities begins. At all times we engage the senses of visitors. We ask them to smell the hops or taste the malted barley used in our beer production. Visitors get up close to the fermenters and brewing vessels, hearing and seeing how our beer is made. We also have art installations throughout the tour, representing what happens at each brewing stage. No other visitor experience in Dublin provides such behind-the-scenes and engaging access to a real working brewery!

Can't decide between a Dublin city & bay private tour or Dublins world famous pubs & whiskey scene? Now you don't need to choose between the two!Enjoy an authentic Irish experience and exploration of Dublin city & bay followed by a selection of classic Dublin pubs, only the very best. Phenomenal Guinness, Irish craft beer, Irish whiskey and traditional Irish music. In addition to some of your classic Dublin sightseeing, I cover the heavyweight pieces of Irish history that still shape our character and the land itself today, namely 'an gorta mor' (the great hunger) and the 1916 Easter Rising and our Dublin pub culture that is unrivalled for its craic (fun). We will have plenty of fun along the way too! including some great Irish traditional music which tell stories of their very own.An executive taxi means we are permitted in bus lanes, so no sitting in traffic!Along the way, we'll stop for some 'soakage' aka good Irish food before you have beers ;)See you in Dublin. .Éamonn

A perfectly poured history of the world's greatest beer. "e;Joseph Conrad was wrong. The real journey into the Heart of Darkness is recounted within the pages of Bill Yenne's fine book. Guinness (the beer) is a touchstone for brewers and beer lovers the world over. Guinness (the book) gives beer enthusiasts all the information and education necessary to take beer culture out of the clutches of light lagers and back into the dark ages. Cheers!"e; -Sam Calagione, owner, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and author of Brewing Up a Business, Extreme Brewing, and Beer or Wine? "e;Marvelous! As Bill Yenne embarks on his epic quest for the perfect pint, he takes us along on a magical tour into the depths of all things Guinness. Interweaving the tales of the world's greatest beer and the nation that spawned it, Yenne introduces us to a cast of characters worthy of a dozen novels, a brewery literally dripping with history, and-of course-the one-and-only way to properly pour a pint. You can taste the stout porter on every page."e; -Dan Roam, author of The Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures
